A FLAME THAT HAS NEVER GONE OUT
From the Cradle of the Faith to the Final Frontier
In AD 345, a flame was carried from the cradle of the Faith to the ends of the known world. In 1964, a young man from the direct lineage of those early Christians — the very ones who first brought the Message to that region after St. Thomas arrived in AD 52 — carried it alone into the Himalayan foothills.
He stood armed with nothing but a call and The Promise:
"I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron." — Isaiah 45:2
That flame is still burning. It will not rest until it reaches the billions who have never heard the name of Jesus.
This is not a program. This is a mandate.
The Timeline
AD 345
The flame carried from the cradle of the Christian Faith to the ends of the known world.
1964
Our Pioneer enters the Himalayan foothills — writes the postcard that started it all.
2025
Our Pioneer enters his eternal rest. The mandate passes to the whole Body of Christ.
Into Eternity
The mission continues — until every nation, tribe, tongue, and people has heard.
HIMALAYAN FOOTHILLS, 1964
He met tens of thousands with no access to the Message of Hope.
In 1964, after traveling through the northeastern regions to the very edge of the frontier, our Pioneer stood in the rugged foothills of the Himalayas. Having met tens of thousands of people who had no access to the Message of Hope, and with a heart stirred by the vastness of the unreached, he wrote:
HIS WORDS, 1964
"I wish God's people would send more missionaries to this land. No one here has heard the Gospel or the hope of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ."
— OUR PIONEER, HIMALAYAN FOOTHILLS, 1964
From those snow-capped foothills where our Pioneer stood alone, to the shores of the world's greatest Christian nations and the United States of America — the land of the free — the mission endures.
From there to the farthest reaches of the earth, we continue the global pursuit of the only true liberty: the gift of salvation and eternal life that only Christ can provide.
APRIL 29, 2025 — THE PASSING OF THE TORCH
He entered his eternal rest.
The mountains he crossed. The doors he knocked on. The people he wept for. The prayers he prayed in the dark. Every seed he planted — all of it now rests in the hands of the One who never loses what is given to Him.
But the calling he carried did not end with him. What began as a burden for one region has become a mandate for the whole unreached world.
✦ The flame still burns. And it will not stop.
The Calling He Carried Now Rests on This Generation
Sixty years of faithfulness left a foundation. The question is not whether the mission continues — it is whether you will be part of it.
